Colonel Bhawani Singh (Retd.): Colonel Bhawani Singh was born and brought up in the legacy of Rajasthan with a strong influence of culture, tradition and exposure to the royal heritage of the State. He continued the family tradition of joining the Cavalry and went on to command the elite Presidential Bodyguard and the 61st Cavalry, the world’s last surviving horse Cavalry unit. He is President of the Mayo College Old Boys’ Society, Ajmer and on the Board of Governors and the General Council, Mayo College Ajmer. Bhawani has travelled to every continent as part of the international polo community, and he has played at exclusive polo clubs such as the Palm Beach Polo & Country Club, Guards Polo Club, Windsor, Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club, and St. Moritz. Polo is synonymous with luxury and this has resulted in an understanding of fine quality, understated elegance and ‘Old World’ opulence. He has also played a key role in promoting polo with Indian corporates and luxury brands and helped set up corporate polo teams all over the world. He was an Ambassador of the International Polo Federation. Bhawani’s assignments on the staff of three Presidents’ of India, gave him a close insight into government and business interaction. During his tenure at the President’s Bodyguard, he was in charge of ceremonials for State functions interacting with Heads of State and international royalty. In addition, he was a Special Advisor to the former Finance and Foreign Union Minister of India. He has developed a vast network of contacts both in the government and business by virtue of having interacted with them closely. Bhawani is jointly promoting JEYPORE 1727, a landmark luxury residential concept, setting a new standard in the Indian residential space. His vision is to bring his aesthetic that he has garnered from his exclusive international experiences, creating green abodes where one can only be limited by one’s imagination. He brings local knowledge, network, the experience in Government relations, and project management with an eye for detail and precision. Bhawani attended Mayo College in Ajmer and is a graduate of India’s flagship National Defense Academy, Pune and The Army War College, Indore.
